This guest bathroom required modernisation, however, the owners wanted to keep the large dresser which housed the basin but whilst modernising the unit to bring it up to date.

We moved it to a centralised position,  added more cornice and transformed the dresser by firstly sanding & priming all the surfaces and then finishing it in two different colours. Choosing a very bold Farrow & Ball colour ‘vardo’ inside the shelves and Farrow & Ball ‘ mole’s breath’ on the exterior of the unit.

We tied the look together by making a bespoke bath panel to match the cabinet mouldings.

Farrow & Ball colour ‘cornforth white’ was used on the walls.

After altering the plumbing for new sanitary ware we opted to use DITRA matting prior to tiling the floor as the bathroom was on the first floor. The walls were solid so did not require tanking, however, P.V.A was applied before tiling.
